COVID-19: Current Policies and Guidance

During these uncertain times, there is much debate about the best thing to do for the general health and safety of everyone. I’m so proud of the many recent conversations with photographers who are torn between continuing to shoot, and a genuine desire to protect their clients - I can assure you that not a single one has taken this lightly. Unfortunately we might be in this for the long haul, and I’ve felt burdened with the decision of how I can continue to provide a place for you to create and capture memories, while also doing my part to slow the spread of this awful virus. I want to first share something I posted last week to the private group for my renters:
“I just want to let you all know where I stand with the current pandemic:
I 100% support social distancing, even though I'm going crazy on week two (for us) stuck mostly at home. That said, the studios will remain open for as long as they are allowed to be, as they pose far less of a threat than an average trip to the grocery store. I am sanitizing every night, and disinfecting products are not just available for your use, but I am encouraging you to arrive 15 minutes early to spray down surfaces yourself for the safety of your clients. Please also ask them to wash/sanitize their hands upon entry. I encourage you to screen clients regarding any recent fever/cough, and ask that you please let me know immediately if you notice a client that seems unwell during a shoot.
If anybody has any additional ideas regarding client safety and comfort during this trying time, please let me know. Be smart and hang in there guys, we will get through this 💗”
In addition to the measures outlined above, I have created a free 15 minute “Pre-Session Disinfecting” add on to ensure that you have the time to properly disinfect prior to your session. I will continue to clean nightly, and refill the products available for your use - this includes alcohol-based hand sanitizer, hard surface disinfectant, and air/fabric disinfecting spray. You will also notice that I have added a question to the scheduling intake form regarding your group size. If your group is larger than 10 people, you are now required to pre-authorize the appointment with me and apply the “Post Session Cleaning for Groups Over 10” add on so that I may disinfect after you leave.
I will continue to monitor the developments of this pandemic, and adhere to all executive orders. Please stay safe, and know that each and every one of you are in my heart!
